There are more academic scholarships available than most people realize. This is a type of financial aid for students to complete their studies. The first step is to determine whether you are eligible. If you are a member of a group that is under represented, you have an advantage. This usually applies to special areas of study, financial need or to those students that are exceptionally talented in the fields of music, science, sports or art.

Understand what you can expect from the particular program to which you wish to apply. Some schools only pay for accommodation, while others pay for all school related expenses.

You will be required to provide general information and information relating to approximate family incomes and expenses. This is required when you apply for a scholarship based on financial need.
